Since 1999, CMAA has been presenting Project Achievement Awards to recognize instances in which professional Construction Management has made a significant contribution to the successful completion of a challenging project or program.

2010 Construction Management Awards

The Construction Management Association of America, Northern California Chapter 2010 Project Achievement Awards were presented at the April 15 Gala program. This program was created in accordance with our mission to promote excellence and professionalism in construction management. In addition to the project awards we are introducing a Person of the Year Award for 2010. This award is established to recognize the northern California person who most positively influenced the Construction industry in the area.

Person of the Year Award:

Ron PriceRon Price: The person of the year award judging criterion is great positive influence on the construction industry.  Ron’s amazing performance was accomplished through providing steady leadership and inspiration to CMAA including President of the local chapter and Board of Directors of National CMAA, chair of the Standards of Practice Committee, and creating the first Standards of Practice course for the local and national organization. Ron Price's construction career spans over 35 years. As a consulting project manager Mr. Price has managed the tenant improvement of his company’s Corporate Headquarters, acted as a City Engineer, managed a Regional Office in Monterey, California, and managed a number of facility programs and projects throughout Northern California for public agencies.

Mr. Price served honorably in the United States Navy, became licensed as a General Contractor, graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Business, obtained a Certificate in Construction Management from the UC Davis Extension Program where he is now an instructor and is currently a practicing Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and Senior Project Manager.

Ron Price has been a member of the Construction Management Association of America since 1996. Currently Mr. Price sits on the CMAA National Board of Directors and is the Past President of the Northern California Chapter. Prior positions within the Chapter included Programs Director, and CM Certification Chair. Ron has also facilitated and presented the CM Standards of Practice Course for the past five years. During the last 9 years Ron has also served as a member and Chapter Director of the American Public Works Association and is a respected project leader within the construction industry in Northern California.
