Certification

The CMAA Northern California Chapter is working to increase the number of Certified Construction Manager (CCM) members.

Our plan for increasing the number of chapter CCMs includes:

• Conducting two “Construction Manager - Standards of Practice (SOP) Review” courses in 2009.

• Presenting “CCM application” education sessions/workshops in 2009.

• Putting together Powerpoint (or similar) presentations on “Why Become a Certified Construction Manager?” and “Certified Construction Manager - Application Process” and making the presentations available to CM firms and owners.

• Assisting members with CCM process inquiries, questions, problems and (pre-submittal) review of applications, when requested.

• Any other suggestions for increasing member CCMs are welcome and appreciated.
