2012 Nor Cal Construction Management
Scholarship Program

The Construction Management Association of America, Northern California Chapter (CMAA NorCal Chapter) is pleased to announce our 2012 Scholarships Program. This program was created in accordance with our Chapter Bylaws and our mission to promote excellence and professionalism in construction management (CM). We hope to have another year of outstanding applicants and give recognition to those students that demonstrate exceptional scholastic achievement and promise as future CM practitioners.

PURPOSE

The program is designed to recognize and provide financial assistance to Northern California area college students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate level CM programs.

APPLICATION, CRITERIA AND EVALUATION

  • $12,000 will be awarded through ten individual scholarships. (Two at $2,000 each and eight at $1,000 each.)
  • The competition is open to students enrolled in CM programs at Stanford, UC Berkeley, Sacramento State, Chico State, Fresno State and San Jose State universities.
  • Students interested in being considered for a scholarship need to complete the 2012 Scholarship Application Package Application that is available on the NorCal Chapter website. The application form can be downloaded here
  • Each application will be evaluated and awarded in accordance with the criteria stated in the application.
  • Applications are due on March 12, 2012.
  • Students and their advisors must be available to attend the 2012 Scholarships/Awards Banquet to be held on April 19, 2012 at the Marines’ Memorial Club Hotel, 609 Sutter Street, San Francisco, CA 94102.

2011 CMAA Nor Cal Construction Management Scholarships Awards

The 2011 CMAA Nor Cal Scholarship awards and plaques were presented at the April 20, 2011 Scholarships and Awards Dinner by Scholarship Director John Bergen. The annual scholarship program holds the objective of support to the future construction managers of Northern California.

Eight awards totaling $10,000 go to top students from four Northern California colleges with CM programs: U.C. Berkeley, Stanford, CSU Chico and CSU Fresno. The awards were two each for $2,000 and six each for $1,000.

2010 CMAA Nor Cal Scholarships Awards

The 2010 CMAA Nor Cal Scholarship awards and plaques were presented at the Awards Dinner by Scholarships Co-Directors Jennifer Davlin and Sam McClellan. The annual scholarship program holds the objective of support to the future construction managers of Northern California.

Ten awards totaling $15,000 go to the top students from five competing northern California colleges with CM programs, including U.C. Berkeley, Stanford, Cal State Chico, Cal State Sacramento and San Jose State. The awards are five each for $2,000 and five each for $1000.
