About The Event

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The use of public/private partnerships (P3s) is a growing trend throughout the United States.

P3s offer a unique method of transferring many of the risks associated with large complex

projects, normally assumed by public entities, to the private sector. In many instances, P3

make projects possible that would be impossible using more traditional project delivery

methods.

Join us at this educational seminar to increase your knowledge of P3s, understand the key

elements needed to seize P3 benefits, and discuss case study examples shared by recognized

P3 leaders who have hands-on experience in designing and implementing P3 projects from the

very first step to a totally completed project.

The seminar will offer a general understanding of P3 as an alternative delivery method as well as explore lessons learned, pitfalls, evolving trends in procurement, finance, credit impacts, risks management, life cycle management, and keys to success in delivering projects through P3.

We will deep dive into two P3 case studies led by experts and practitioners involved in these

projects:

  • The UC Merced 2020 Project, an innovative $1.3 billion campus expansion project that will nearly double the physical capacity of the campus and the first as well as the largest P3 project in the U.S. higher education sector, and

  • The $4 billion LaGuardia Airport’s Central Terminal Building Project, the largest and most complex P3 infrastructure project in U.S. history.

This seminar provides a great opportunity to network with and learn from professionals and industry leaders how to evaluate, plan and execute some of the biggest and most complex P3 projects in the country.
